The designer of RUSKA was Ulla Procope (1921-1968) She worked in Arabia’s art department at the same time as Kaj Franck, Kaarine Aho, and Goran Back. After graduating as a ceramicist from the Central School of Arts & Crafts in Helsinki she was employed at Arabia and stayed there for about twenty years
Ruska had a handcrafted look and feel to it, with the glaze colour and mottled appearance turning out slightly differently on each piece. A true Scandinavian design classic. The Ruska range was made to last a life time - The perfect sustainable gift!
